Projectile Lab help Basic Error representations Understanding Mechanical Advantage/ Force Multiplier Input Force = The applied force ( that you had to apply) Output Force = Force the you are countering ( i.e.lifting) Mechanical Advantage is = Output Force/Input Force ( to do the same amount of work) The term Force Multiplier becomes more obvious when you consider output force as leading to an action like lifting or throwing an object. When you answer the lab for force multiplier, be sure to specify which is your input and which is your output. |
